About THE Conference

Welcome to Chemcon 2025 | GCUF

The 35th National and 23rd International Chemistry Conference, hosted by "Government College University Faisalabad" in collaboration with the "University of Agriculture Faisalabad" and the "Chemical Society of Pakistan", aims to:
Highlight the pivotal role of chemistry in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovative research, green technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Provide a national and international platform for scientists, academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to share recent advances and future perspectives in chemical sciences.
Foster collaboration and networking among academia, research institutions, and industry to address environmental, health, energy, and material science challenges through chemical innovation.
Encourage young scientists and students to engage in scientific inquiry, present their research, and interact with leading experts in the field.
Promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge on sustainable practices in chemistry, including green synthesis, waste management, renewable energy, and eco-friendly materials.
Celebrate the contributions of chemistry to society by recognizing excellence in teaching, research, and service through awards and recognition sessions.
This conference aspires to serve as a beacon for sustainable progress through chemistry, empowering researchers and stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to a greener and more sustainable future.
Government College University Faisalabad, the principal host, is one of Pakistan’s leading public sector universities with a distinguished history of academic excellence, dating back to its establishment as a college in 1897. Elevated to university status in 2002, Government College University Faisalabad has emerged as a hub of quality education and cutting-edge research in science, arts, and technology. The Department of Chemistry at GC University Faisalabad is recognized for its dynamic research culture, accomplished faculty, and strong focus on solving real-world problems through scientific innovation. The university promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and has made significant contributions in the fields of analytical, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. Through national and international conferences, GCU continues to foster knowledge sharing and global partnerships.
Faisalabad, Pakistan’s third-largest city and its industrial hub, offers a dynamic backdrop for this high-impact conference. Known as the “Manchester of Pakistan,” the city boasts a rich industrial heritage, particularly in textiles, and is rapidly advancing in sectors that heavily rely on chemical innovation. The city’s strong academic infrastructure, anchored by premier institutions such as GC University, Faisalabad and University of Agriculture Faisalabad, creates an ideal environment for intellectual exchange and research-driven dialogue. Thus, the choice of venue and location is not merely logistical, it is symbolic and strategic, reinforcing the conference’s mission to drive sustainable development in regions where innovation can make the most tangible impact.
